چکیده
This paper summarizes some of the relevant features exhibited by bi-nary mixtures Bose-Einstein condensates in presence coherent coupling at zero temperature. The coupling, which is experimentally produced proper photon transitions, can either involve negligible momentum transfer from electromagnetic radiation (Rabi coupling) or large (Raman associated with spin-orbit effects. The nature quantum phases coherently coupled discussed detail, including their paramagnetic, ferromagnetic, and, case supersolid phases. The behavior corresponding elementary excitations discussed, explicit emphasis on novel caused spin-like degree freedom. Focus further given to topological (solitons, vortices) as well superfluid properties. also points out open questions deserve more systematic theoretical and experimental investigations.

Theory of ultracold atomic Fermi gases
The physics of quantum degenerate atomic Fermi gases in uniform as well as in harmonically trapped configurations is reviewed from a theoretical perspective. Emphasis is given to the effect of interactions which play a crucial role, bringing the gas into a superfluid phase at low temperature. In these dilute systems interactions are characterized by a single parameter, the s-wave scattering len...
متن کاملBose-Einstein condensation of ultracold atomic gases
Bose-Einstein condensation in a dilute gas of sodium atoms has been observed. The atoms were trapped in an optically plugged magnetic trap or in a cloverleaf magnetic trap. Rf induced evaporative cooling increased the phase-space density by six orders of magnitude. We summarize the different techniques used, and discuss recent studies of properties of Bose condensates with an outlook on future ...
متن کاملUltracold atomic quantum gases far from equilibrium
We calculate the time evolution of a far-from-equilibrium initial state of a non-relativistic ultracold Bose gas in one spatial dimension. The non-perturbative approximation scheme is based on a systematic expansion of the two-particle irreducible effective action in powers of the inverse number of field components. This yields dynamic equations which contain direct scattering, memory and off-s...
